What is it about?
We are looking for young people to use their creativity to produce a written, visual or audio visual piece using the themes of the SRTRC DVD.
Awards day at the Aviva Stadium will take place on April 10th.Minister for Justice & Defence Alan Shatter TD has confirmed he will attend to open the proceedings. Best entries will showcase your work on the day and get to meet famous sports stars.

So what is poetry aloud?
Poetry Aloud is an annual poetry speaking competition open to all post-primary students.
It is organised by Poetry Ireland and the National Library of Ireland.
The prescribed poems in this year’s competition include works by
W.B. Yeats (www.nli.ie/yeats to view the library’s award winning exhibition
Yeats: the Life and Works of William Butler Yeats), works by Seamus Heaney in
acknowledgement of his support for the competition and selected war poems.
