You should familiarise yourselves with the marking criteria for the Leaving Cert

Timing of the Leaving Cert Paper
Timing of Paper 1 and Paper 2 below! These are only suggestions.
Timing of Paper One (2 Hours 50 minutes)
Question A – Answering Questions on the comprehension (40 minutes)
Question B – Diary entry/formal/informal letter/report/article etc (30 minutes)
Composing: (Essay) 1 Hour 20 minutes.
Advice: Do the essay first as it generally takes the longest.
(Preparation is key)
Remember to brainstorm for all section of the paper.
20 minutes left to re-read your answers.
Timing of Paper Two (3 Hours 20 Minutes)
10 Minutes to read the paper and decide on Questions
Section 1: Single Text (55 Minutes)
Section 2: Comparative Studies (I hour 15 Minutes)
Section 3: Prescribed Poetry (40 Minutes)
Unseen Poem (15 minutes)
